Daily Stand-up

Lesetid: < 1 minutt

What?

A daily stand-up (or daily scrum) is used in agile teams to ensure that the key personnel is up to date of what’s going on in the team and what challenges are ahead.

This is not a status meeting.

Why?

This meeting shall ensure that everybody knows what each other is working with, have a good communication and discover problems or challenges which can prevent reaching the sprint goal.

The meeting helps to inform and prioritize the day, till the next daily stand-up.

How?

The daily stand-up meeting should last for a maximum of 15 minutes and will be facilitated by the scrum master. The developers are to answer three easy questions:

  1. What have I been doing since yesterday?
  2. What am I going to be working on today?
  3. Are there any challenges or impediments?

The meeting is not to cover anything else than these questions. For technical discussions this should be arranged with the involved people after the daily stand-up.
