When I look in the mirror, I’m about 30-35, but when I look at my passport, I’m 40 years old already. I come from Baku in Azerbaijan, a beautiful country between Turkey and Russia, and I still live there with my family today.
Rufat works as a senior software developer, and has gained experience in both iOS, backend development, databases, networks and even administration.
I love everything related to development and have a love for complex issues and projects with many elements. I always have to learn new things and improve my skills to keep up with the changes happening in my industry. The more complex, the better for me, because I can push my brain to find solutions.
Rufat started his career with a master’s degree in computer engineering, and after 9 years of schooling, he has a solid foundation for mastering a demanding industry.
I also studied for a PhD degree for about 3 years, but did not complete my dissertation because it was very time consuming, and I had children at that time, so I decided to work instead and finish my dissertation later.
With over 20 years of experience as a developer, Rufat has the experience, the knowledge and the go-ahead-attitude that Anders from Homesourcing needed for one of his projects.
Smart Home technology is in the wind. It was difficult to find skilled app developers, iOS, respectively, with experience with both integrations and user experience. Rufat was a good match for the team, had a good understanding of the entire value chain and even set up his own development environment at home for testing and quality assurance. He has great interest in the subject, also outside of his core knowledge. After being introduced to our need to develop a Voice-over-IP service, Rufat quickly got into the technology and developed both apps and server to meet that need.
From 2000 – 2016 Rufat worked in a local position in Azerbaijan, while always working on other projects for companies in America and Europe. He therefore has many different experiences with various clients around the world.
