Nastasja is a 25-year-old professional software engineer from Zaporizhia, Ukraine.
“I started learning HTML / JS / CSS at school, and got a passion for what grew only with time. So I chose to study this further, ”Nastasja says with a smile.
She passed exams in both Kiev and the hometown of Zaporizhzhya, which in Ukraine is the process of qualifying to continue a university degree where you pass the exam. Despite being approved in Kiev, she chose to continue her studies in Zaporizhia to be closer to her boyfriend. After completing a study that lasted from 2013-2018 at Zaporizka politekhnika, Nastasja was graduated with a number of qualifications; software engineer, computer programmer, computer system analyst, high school teacher and associate professor.
Life in Ukraine is characterized by high demands and goals from family and friends, and Nastasja recalls a time when she had little other dreams. “I really wanted to become a journalist first. I am very happy to talk to people and thought this was a good profession for me ”. «There are many challenges when it comes to admissions to universities, and although I passed exams in some places, other universities gave me a clear no.» But it was precisely this that led her to reassess future plans, and this is her very grateful for today.
“I love computer programming, and there are many exciting people in the industry I work in. Among other things, I am now in Norway to meet Anders from Homesourcing. Norway is a place I never thought I would visit, but that’s how it was. » Nastasja smiles smartly and looks around.
